STEVE C. BICKHAM

CLASS OF 2015
 

   

Steve Bickham was a four-time state high school champion (#1 doubles as a freshman and #1 singles his sophomore, junior, and senior years).  He was a Missouri Valley Champion in 16s and 18s and represented the Section at the Olympic Sports Festival.  He was an NCAA All-American in doubles at the University of New Mexico and was named the Western Athletic Conference “Player of the Year” in 1987.

Steve played the Professional Satellite and Challenger Circuits for four years and was ranked in the top 500 in both singles and doubles.  He directed USTA Circuit Events in Phoenix for four years.

He was the Director of Tennis at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego and the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club in Michigan and was the Executive Director of the USTA Idaho District. 

He coached tennis at Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University and is currently the Head Men’s Tennis Coach at Pomona College in California.  He lives in Claremont, California.
